The Great "INCA KING," chained at his feet to a chair, seemingly trying to reason with a standing Francisco Pizarro in a stately room (pink and white soles on the floor). King Atahualpa moments away from being strangled to death by Pizarro's men using a garrote. All in attempt to squeeze more Gold and Silver from the Inca King's empire.1
There is some very minor foxing (not affecting the image) and several small pinholes. PIRATE SHIPWRECK of PERU 1597 Large (12-3/8 x 8-3/8 ~ image 7-3/4 x 6-1/2") GERMAN Copperplate - engraving by Theodore de Bry. Circa 1597 and HAND COLORED!
