Joe!!!!!!
We just signed for the coin, and when I opened that package, saw that beautiful presentation box, and saw that coin...well, you made a grown girl cry! That is the most beautiful aureus I personally have ever laid eyes on! Oh my gosh, Joe, I (we) just can't thank you enough for what you did for the kids, and for all of us here who appreciate fine art, and history!
The kids left at noon to begin spring break, but they'll have a wonderful surprise when we get everything ready and they return!
I can actually see the toning on this one--unlike the one we had! And the story behind it....omg!
This is just a masterpiece! We were wishing we could show to others, the kindness you showed us, but nothing compares to this. Hopefully, we can direct young lives toward people like you as role models of character in business. I just know one thing, the staff and kids will never forget the sacrifice you made--and I know you did. Thank you so much from all of us.
Dr. Parks has not seen it yet, so several of our families are going out to dinner this evening with Emperor Nero, and I am going to show him off!
Hopefully I can send some business your way, and you can make up some of the profit you deserve on this coin.
I am going to stay in our library a bit, and put Mr. Nero with our gold daric, our shekel of Tyre, our Juda Capta, and our Lysimacus stater. (Cool, huh?)
I just want to look at all that history! But I think you know which coin will bring the biggest smile.
God bless you, Joe. You made my (our) whole year!!!

So glad i decided to check out this site! i was hoping to find the perfect gift for my husband for Christmas, but needed real help in choosing the right coin for him. Thankfully, I came to the right place. I received absolutely stellar customer service ( thank you, Joe!). for showing me a variety of choices and helpful advice regarding them, so i could make the right decision. I also needed the coin quickly, and they/he went above and beyond to get it here to me in time for Christmas. My husband was beyond thrilled with his stunning, high grade escudo, that he said it was the best gift he ever received. Now i can see why they have 100% positive feedback, as their inventory and customer service are unparalleled.. Thank you Pirate Gold Coins!

~Good morning, Joe.~
Thanks for the tracking number.
Want you to know I was up at 5 I this morning--just so excited about the coin I can't sleep!
We will be be practicing our Boscoreale and Pompeii 'fresco graffiti' drawings today. (Obviously have be careful with this, as I know you understand!) The science teacher will be discussing how gold can tone under great heat, and the distinction between tone, patina, and 'crud' (as the kids call it) on Roman coins. This is so radically awesome!!
By the way, most all middle schools are likely doing Greco-Roman units the next few weeks, so you might get some interest in those coins. In fact, a former administrator colleague was looking at the VF 5/3 Nero aureus--the one pictured above, in fact--you still have on eBay (not as ~~cool as 'ours'!!~~) and asked me a question I could not answer. He wanted to know if it was 'lifetime issue', and 'Does that usually matter?' I may send him to you, since he makes the 'big bucks' as an administrator, and you all can do your thing.
Oh, Joe, sorry for going on and on! This is the product of excitement, and for that we sooooooo thank you!

Good morning, Joe:
Your email was passed on to me today from Dr.Parks, and I wanted to tell you how much it meant to me. We try to teach our middle schoolers to have character in an often 'characterless' world, but sometimes they are just words. But what you did for us is going to be a lesson these kids will never forget.
With your permission, I want to share your email with them this afternoon. They will readily note the 'character' which so permeates its essence. When I 'goofed' yesterday, you returned forgiveness, acceptance, and kindness. When we came up short on funds, you reached out so far to help us it became not just kindness, but pure grace. When we were just looking for 'nice', you provided 'XF'. When the payment got hung up, you displayed patience, when many might have just said 'forget it'.
What you did for us yesterday was more a personification of 'character' than all the words these kids have heard. Now, they are seeing it with their eyes. I want to motivate them to show the same to their peers, and their families. Unexpected kindness, forgiveness, sacrifice, patience--genuine caring for someone you have never met and probably never will--that's true 'character' in action.
We're going to place a placard next to the coin in our 'Roman museum' (back of the library!) with the Boscoreale story (definitely lessons taught there!)--describing not only the amazing find of these coins--but the amazing way a kind dealer became a teacher in making our purchase of a specimen even possible. Hope you don't mind. In doing so, your kindness will continue to 'speak' to every parent, child, and teacher who stands in admiration of that coin. More than that, it will be substantive 'character', on display permanently--just as it was shown us yesterday.
God bless you, Joe.

Joe... Just wanted to say "thank you" again and REALLY enjoyed meeting you and your son! I love the coins. Didn't think I could enjoy things more than gold nuggets but just might have found a new favorite hobby. It's uncommon to meet really interesting and passionate people these days and I appreciate that just as much as the coins! You got me hooked . I'm sure I'll be back for more goodies! Got to let wife catch up a little now..
All My Best!
