SPAIN 1607 1 ESCUDO NGC 65 “FINEST KNOWN of 5” GOLD DOUBLOON COB TREASURE COIN This incredibly struck Sogovia mint milled 1E “Philip III” (very rarely seen with this King’s name (Segovia), is as good as it gets! NGC 65, with the next closest piece two points behind it! The details on this piece are extremely strong / boldly struck and there’s still luster in the fields. This is a RARE 2 YEAR TYPE coin and was among the first machine struck coins minted in Spain. A nice Large planchet actually goes beyond the design (atypically seen), so much so that you can enjoy the “beading” all the way around the Coin. Truly a RARE Opportunity!
