SPAIN 1406 GOLD DOBLA “CROSS of JERUSALEM", SEVILLE MINT 513 YEARS AGO!
Wear History Every Day with this beautiful Large Gold Piece displaying Castles & Lions (representing the Kingdoms of Castile & Leon) with Full Legends! This Gold, Large Dobla de la Banda (JUAN II). The Golden Luster is brilliant and the devices are strong. Excellent Centering! The Obverse features the “Coat of Arms” and the Reverse displays “Quartered Arms of Castile and Leon with Mintmark “S” at the top of the Cross of Jerusalem. Dating between 1406 to 1454. This piece is without hesitation, has the nicest Golden Luster & Strongest Strike I’ve ever seen in 20 years on a Dobla!!! The coin weight is 7gm and measures out at 32.6mm (about the same size as an 8 Escudos. It Does come with a Gold Plated Chain (24").
