SPAIN 1738 Seville 1/2 REALES KING PHILIP Vth SILVER COIN~Almost 300 Years old!  This 2 Reales has extremely strong strike and vivid devices and is exceptionally well Centered!  The legends on the Obverse read: PHILIPPUS V (Philip the Vth) D * G (stands for Dei Gratia or the Grace of God).  To the left of the Shield is the mint "S" for Seville and to the right of the Shield is II (2 reales) and the assayer "J" just below.  The reverse legends:  HISPANIARUM * REX 1721   (SPAIN * KING 1721), reading in total (front and back)  By the Grace of GOD King Philip Vth SPAIN.   The details on the reverse are equally well struck, with extraordinarily strong devices / details.  Featuring the Cross of Jerusalem and quartiles of Lions and Castles (representing the kingdoms of  LEON and CASTILE).  VERY RARE to find this piece is Mint State, especially at 300 years old, then to add such a well centered design on planchet and strongly struck devices and you have a World Class piece.
