PERU 1747 8 ESCUDOS NGC 58 GOLD DOUBLOON TREASURE COIN FERDINAND VI “LA LUZ” This breathtaking Gold Doubloon has a FULL LEGEND on Reverse and even a DOUBLE DATE on the Obverse “47!” The Reverse Legend: FERDINANDVS VI. D.G. HIS (with the STAR OF LIMA) above the FULL CROSS (Very thick Bold Cross). The Cross, Castles & Lions are so raised that this piece resembles a “High Relief” Cob! This was the King’s inaugural year 1747! This piece has everything, King’s Ordinal (FERNDINANDVS), FULL 2ND DATE (LEGEND DATE) AND COMPLETE RESERVE LEGENDS AND HIGH RELIEF DEVICES! The Obverse has FULLY DETAILED DEVICES: L = LIMA, 8, V (Assayer). We believe this piece was from the Nuestra Señora De La Luz (Our Lady of the Light) and are working now to get that Pedigree confirmed.
