PERU 1711 8 ESCUDOS “1715 FLEET” PIRATE GOLD COINS SHIPWRECK TREASURE WOW! This Gold Doubloon is incredible! Nearly a FULL CROWN!!! Dated 1711 with almost NO Doubling whatsoever! The CROSS is Full and Very well centered. The Castles and Lions are ALL very well struck with No distractions. The Legends are well struck as well (HISPANIRUM). The entire Inner dots are present around the Cross. The Devices are so strongly struck in most areas, the waves are cut deep into the planchet and the “8” almost appears to be a High Relief strike! The legends on the Crown side “ETYNDI” (and the Indies), is very well struck as well. Just a fantastic piece. We grade the piece AU, although it still retains much of its Mint State Luster. Weighs 26.82gm Destined to be an incredible “Dog Tag” (Pendant), stay tuned for once it’s mounted!
