NETHERLANDS 1761 "KNIGHT RIDER" 14 GULDEN ~ NGC 63 ~
NETHERLANDS Utrecht. Provincial gold 14 Gulden 1761 MS63 NGC, KM104, Fr-288. Extremely luminous surfaces sparkle with original mint bloom, accenting the sharply-defined, frosty devices. An ideal representative of this larger "Gold Knight Rider" type. Depicting an "Armored Knight on Rearing Horse Brandishing his Sword." We also have the Silver version of this piece (see under our World Silver Coin tab). This is a very highly sought after type (Gold Knight Rider), which also comes in the smaller version (7 guldens) and even smaller denominations, but this beautiful 14 Gulden is the Largest and highest denomination ever minted. Poured and minted over 250 years ago, the bright frosty luster on this piece makes it look like it was pounded out yesterday! Nicest and Finest we've ever seen!
