Mexico 1706-12 4 Escudos "1715 Plate Fleet Shipwreck" PCGS 64 Only 3 Known!
MEXICO 4 ESCUDOS 1706-12 PCGS 64 “1715 FLEET” POP 3! GOLD DOUBLOON COB
In 20 YEARS of working with Shipwreck coins this is the FIRST TIME I’ve ever seen PCGS ever designate a Shipwreck coin from the “1715 FLEET” coin and with good reason ~ This coin comes with a hand signed “MEL FISHER” signature COA w/Photo Serial #M-4E-K4 and it was in the MUSEUM of the American Numismatic Assoc. (ANA) and was issued a COA #E-5533-D w/Photo.. A very very special piece with Deep Rich Honey Gold Colors. The Obverse is displaying the full Assayer and Mint marks (oXMJ) and is from the EARLy style, as evidences as the Reverse displays the “Ornate Tressure” around the perfectly struck / centered Cross! The inside of the Tressure looks like “SKULLS” protecting the Cross! PCGS labeled in error as Spain, but did put the correct Assayer and Mint from Mexico. Calico-type 48, KM441
