Mexico 1 Escudo 1679-98 "Jeweled Cross- 1715 Fleet Wreck" NGC 63
MEXICO 1 ESCUDO 1690’s 1715 FLEET “JEWELED CROSS” NGC63 PRIATE GOLD COINS
Wow!!! The FINEST KNOWN NGC 63 “JEWELED CROSS” we are aware of that Exist!!! It’s also the Most Complete JEWELED CROSS as well. The Jeweled Cross (nicknamed because within the Cross there are dimple impressions, struck to give the effect of sparkle or jewels. These were the First Struck Issues out of Mexico and were ONLY in the 1690’s!). We have had the privilege to obtain two others over the last many years, however, the Jewels (impressions) were Only partial and worn down. This piece has Nearly All of it’s Jewels as well as the FULL CROSS (the others were only partial cross’). The Mint State grade is certainly earned and the Luster and Color are just breathtaking (Golden Bright Butterscotch). This piece comes with a Queen’s Jewels COA. It is also the ONLY NGC grade tab we are aware of that displays the “JEWELED CROSS” as part of the Designation! A very important piece, destined for the Finest of Collections!!!
