Kingdom of Macedon “Alexander III the Great” Gold Stater “Lifetime- Fine Style” ~ NGC Ch AU 5x4 ~ !
MACEDON “ALEXANDER III the GREAT” GOLD STATER “LIFETIME issue” NGC Ch AU 5x4 “Fine Style” 336-323BC
What an incredible piece- SO RARE!!! First, please NOTE: “LIFETIME ISSUE!” I have never in 20 years handled a LIFETIME issue. What an honor to offer such an incredibly rare piece, this piece was actually Struck / Hammered during Alexander the Great’s life! Secondly, this piece is Noted as the Coveted “FINE STYLE” which is also extremely rare to find in comparisons and general issues. Fine Style meaning the dies are of a much higher detail than normal dies (notice the detail in the hair and the eye (literally see the pupil) and his lips and ear (several relief layers of the ear, compared to most others where you can hardly tell there’s even an ear there). EXTREMELY WELL CENTERED!!! As most advanced Ancient collectors know this is Highly Sought after! The full front of the Helmet line is completely displayed on the planchet as well as the Helmet Plume.
KINGDOM OF MACEDON 336-323 BC “GOLD AV STATER” Obverse featuring “Head of Athena with Large Corinthian Helmet” and snake ornament below the plume, thunderbolt below the neck (very rarely seen on the Obverse of the coin). The Reverse features NIKE standing facing looking to the left, holding wreath in right hand and stylist over the left shoulder, HD monogram in left field. From the Emissions of Miletus (mint).
This is a world class Trophy piece for ANCIENTS!
