When it was discovered it was encrusted with shells and ocean sediment. It was professionally conserved by marine archaeologists to it’s original state (of 300 years plus). This is the Only Silver Sword handle we are aware of that has been discovered and it comes with an impeccable pedigree. We also can offer to attach a sword blade as well. We have two available. The first is approx. 32” and is of “the period,” from the 1600’s (toned and slightly encrusted) and the second is a modern blade that matches the same color and tone of the current handle.
