COLOMBIA 1787 NR JJ 8 ESCUDOS CHARLES III (much rarer than the Charles IVth), CERTIFIED & GRADED NGC 58!!! 4TH FINEST KNOWN OF ONLY 11 EVER GRADED BY NGC!!!  (ONLY 3 BARELY HIGHER!).  THE PICTURES SHOWN HERE ARE MISLEADING, SO WE'RE SHOWING YOU TWO SCANS OF THE FRONT.  THE PIC INSIDE THE FRAME IS CLOSEST TO THE TRUE COLOR AND HIGH LUSTER THAT IS THE ACTUAL COIN (FOR COLOR), BUT THIS PICTURES LOOSES THE DETAILS, MAINLY AROUND HIS NOSE AND MOUTH, SO THE ADDITIONAL PICTURE IS A BETTER REPRESENTATION OF THE HIGH RELIEF DETAILS IN THIS AREA.  I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THE BRIGHT GOLD LUSTER THIS COIN HAS THROUGHOUT TO DO IT JUSTICE!  ALSO, THE CENTERING IS EXCELLENT AND THE STRIKE IS STRONG!  AS COLLECTORS USUALLY KNOW, THE CHARLES III's ARE MUCH TOUGHER TO PROCURE FOR COLLECTIONS THAN THE CHARLES THE IV AND MUCH RARER OVER THE FERDINAND VII's.  THE TRANSITION YEAR WAS 1788-89 (CHARLES III TO CHARLES IV).  A RARE OPPORTUNITY TO GET SUCH AN ELUSIVE YEAR GRADED SO HIGH!
