BYZANTINE EMPIRE CONSTANTINE VII- JESUS AD 945-959 GOLD COIN NGC CH AU 5/5 STRIKE & 4/5 SURFACE ROMANUS II   FEATURING JESUS HOLDING THE BOOK OF GOSPELS AND (REV) BUSTS OF CONSTANTINE VII AND ROMANUS HOLDING PATRIACHAL CROSS (SEAR 1751; DOC 15).  The strike is certainly a 5/5, as you can clearly see each strand of hair on JESUS and incredible detail even down to the Book of Gospels and his figures.  This piece is certainly far and away the best we've ever handled and a Trophy Ancient Gold Coin!
