Spain 2 Escudos 1614“ FULL 4 digit Dated" NGC 58 Pirate Gold Coins Treasure! Weight 6.58gms Full bold cross with toning and FULL 4 DIGIT DATE (perhaps the BEST DATED piece we’ve ever SEEN! The CROSS side is very well centered and nicely struck, even the Legends are partially visible (REX HISPANIRUM) The Obverse a FULL shield, Full "II” denomination as is from the Seville Mint. In Spain & Spanish Colonial it’s DATE DATE DATE (as in Real Estate Location Location Location). This piece is perhaps the VERY BEST we’ve ever seen on a 2 Escudos, the DATE is Fully struck and without any distractions whatsoever! There were approx. 122 Spain Escudos (1’s and 2’s) that were Found on the 1622 Atocha Shipwreck (again, FROM SPAIN), only a couple have been seen with even a partial date (out of those 122 pieces). It is NOT documented that this piece was from any shipwreck, as if it was, this piece would be well over $75k!!! All we know for sure is it was from the same Time Era. A gorgeous piece that would be a pinnacle in any Advanced Collection!
