PORTUGAL 1689 –L GOLD 4000 REIS NGC 65 MS GEM, LISBON MINT KING PEDRO II (PETER) ONLY 6 GRADED ~ 2ND FINEST KNOWN, WITH ONLY 1 IN 66, which last sold back almost 10 years ago in 2006 (I have seen this piece and it's certainly not nicer than this GEM)! KM156, Gomes 99.02. This Gold Coin is nothing short of astonishing, the planchet is completely free of any disturbances or defects and COMPLETELY FREE of Adjustment marks (rarely seen). RARE Issue in any grade of this most desirable type, and this first Year type (1698) is always a top performer!
