Bolivia 2 Reales 1683 "Royal Coinage" NGC VF Pirate Gold Coins
BOLIVIA 1683 “ROYAL” 2 REALES NGC Likely 1715 FLEET PIRATE SHIPWRECK TREASURE SILVER COIN WOW WOW WOW!!! INCREDIBLE “ROYAL!” Most Probably from the 1715 FLEET! From the moment you cast your eyes on this ROYAL beauty you can’t look away! (at least I can’t). From the Perfectly Centered Cross (no doubling, very RARE) to the strongly struck Legends (Carlos II D.G. HISPAN = King Charles II of Spain by the Grace of God). FULL CROWN, Mint mark “P” Potosi and the Assayer mark “V” The Obverse has literally NO Doubling (can’t stress enough how Rare this is on Royals), Top Row “P 2 V” Potosi 2 Real V assayer. Middle Row: PLV SVL TRA (Plus Ultra = More Beyond, meaning more beyond the Pillars of Hercules (the pillars on each side) or More Beyond the Straits of Gibraltar (early ages, the Pillars of Gibraltar signified the Ends of the Earth, since the earth was flat, lol). This symbolism clearly wanted the world to know There is More beyond the Straits of Gibraltar. Last Row: V 83 P (V is Assayer 1683 and P for Potosi). The Legends clearly show the Mint as well “POTOSI.” The CROWN on this side is Full as well! Of course it is holed, as 99% of them are, to think someone wore this piece back over 300 years ago is amazing. Now, you can remove from holder and Wear it Once again and Enjoy the History back in the Golden Pirate Era once again!
