A fine German Broad Sword/Hanger circa, 1660-1700. 35" double edge blade w/remnants of engraving on both sides. The most distinguishing features of this type of sword is the double lobes seen on both the knuckle bow and vertical side branch and included a thumb ring; pierced counterguard panels. Original wood grip of spiral form. A very interesting sword in fine condition. Missing scabbard.
