Coin #87A-LL 052

Picture
The 1622 ATOCHA “LOST LOOT” Collection is comprised of 68 coins in total.  These coins were part of a larger collection,  assembled mainly in 1987, of which many were purchased from Mel Fisher’s shop.  The entire collection (hundreds of coins) were stolen back in March, 2005.  Police, Post Office, INS. claims and reports were filed and a P.I. was hired.  The P.I. worked on the case for over six (6) months and was able to recover these 68 pieces in total.  One of the “Original” (1622 Atocha) Marine Archeologists, James Sinclair, has re-certified these special 68 recovered Shipwreck Treasure pieces.  James Sinclair served as Marine Archaeologist, and Chief Conservator for 1622 Atocha & Margarita, 1715 Fleet, Titanic, S.S. Central America, RMS Lusitania, as well as many other Shipwrecks.
