TREASURE ARMADA CHEST DATED 1628 NUREMBERG PIRATE GOLD COINS SHIPWRECK ATOCHA ERA This Chest is VERY Special, as it’s DATED (literally) on the inside lid on escutcheon plate “ANNO MDCXXVIII” Rarely seen DATED! This ARMADA CHEST from created in Nuremberg Germany weighs approx. 40 lbs and measures 16” L x 9”W x 9” H. It also has been engraved / struck on the inside lid escutcheon plate a Royal Crown, Monk, LION Head, several Templar type Crosses and what appears to be a Madonna holding baby Jesus below the Lions Head. In very good condition and still has Two metal plates under the bottom plate where they would strike the Spikes into the metal plates through the holes to Hold the Chest to Floor boards (not only to secure the Chest from shifting during the high seas, but also to prevent theft from Pirates & Crew)!
