BELGIUM 1346-84 "KNIGHT RIDER" GOLD FRANC A' CHEVAL FLANDERS ~ NGC 62 ~
BELGIUM 1346-84 GOLD FRANC A’ CHEVAL NGC 62 “GOLDEN KNIGHT RIDER” FLANDERS “Louis II de Male”
BELGIUM 1346-84 GOLD FRANC A’ CHEVAL NGC 62 “GOLDEN KNIGHT RIDER” FLANDERS “Louis II de Male” FR-156 - This nearly perfectly round planchet has a very deep honey rich Golden Luster and very bold / strong strike, which is why it attained it’s high Mint State Grade of 62! However, I’ve seen a couple of these over the last few years and what’s most important to look for is the Strike and the absence of doubling and a Soft center (of his body) and also on the Knight’s head / helmet. Many times also the Horses head will have a soft strike. This piece clearly displays the horses Eye, Nostrile and rivets on it’s decorative regalia. Also, the Knight’s helmet is district and clear down to the decorative rosets on top of the helmet. The flowing garments on the Horse are also very clear and distinct as well as is the Sword! When it comes to these almost 700 Year old Medieval Golden (soft metal) coins all grades are NOT equal. Notice even the distinct knuckles on his hand holding the Sword, that’s what you want to see, as well as a vast majority of the Legends being legible. A beautiful piece of History!
